Why I write
I’ve posted this kind of thing before, but it’s always a humbling, wonderful thing to get mails like this. I’m sharing this with permission. I’ll point out, as I have in the past, that emails like this really make writing stories professionally a rewarding gig.

, which has been bumping around in my headspace for five years, hits shelves today. On the one hand, it feels a little surreal. On the other hand, it feels like home. When I started writing this novel, the scenes with Riven and Mags and Brennus and Rivalen…it was like visiting with old friends (or maybe frenemies?).
