Final Cover Art for The Hammer and the Blade

Final cover art for the The Hammer and the Blade (Amazon, B&N) is below.  I am most definitely chuffed/pleased/ecstatic/ensqueed.

I’ll also add that if you were to pre-order the novel, I’d either (a) kiss you full on the mouth, if that appeals to you, or (b) refrain from kissing you full on the mouth, if that appeals to you. Either way, a pre-order means you win.

What effect do blurbs have on you?

I came across this article on blurbs and blabs today and it made me wonder what effect, if any, blurbs have on potential readers.  You mind helping me answer that? Has a blurb by an author you enjoy piqued your interest in another author’s work?  Has a blurb influenced your decision to buy or not buy a book?

The monthly mentions continue, by God!

For those just joining the fun, previous excerpts can be found here, here, and here.  They’re all about one-thousand words or so, just bits to give you a feel for the … Read the rest

Each author involved is running a contest on his/her own site. The specific details vary from author to author, so the particulars of the contest I’m running may differ somewhat from the particulars on another author’s site.

But each contest has a … Read the rest

Interview on Fangirl Blog

My interview with the Fangirl blog is now posted.  Mostly we talk Star Wars, but we also touch on some general themes present in all my writing.  Have a read if you have a moment.  I had a lot of fun doing the interview (we actually did this interview by phone and Linda transcribed it; given my penchant for lawyerspeak, that must have been a Herculean task).

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
