I’m pleased to share the cover art for A Discourse in Steel, the next Tale of Egil and Nix (and the sequel to The Hammer and the Blade). I love this art — the color scheme, the details in the banner and the hammers (man, look at those hammers; they’re hypnotic, by God).
A Discourse in Steel releases on June 25, 2013 in the US (a few days later in the UK). You can pre-order it, of course, in which case I send you lots of slobbery digital kisses.
Anyway, here’s the the cover and the back matter. I hope you like it as much as I do. 🙂
Egil and Nix have retired, as they always said they would. No, really – they have! No more sword and hammer-play for them! But when two recent acquaintances come calling for help, our hapless heroes find themselves up against the might of the entire Thieves Guild. And when kidnapping the leader of the most powerful guild in the land seems like the best course of action, you know you’re in over your head….
Those are some hypnotic hammers indeed! I like how it has a different look than the first cover, but still matches.
Me, too. 🙂
Cool stuff! Reminds me of Warhammer online logo (good memories!).
When you look at those hammers, the next thing you wanna see is someone swinging them.
Aye that. 🙂
I pre-ordered the Kindle version!
Not bad for cover art, but it does seem to remind me of Warhammer fantasy as well.
It is somewhat reminiscent of WH. Of course, given the vibe of the Egil and Nix stories, that’s not a bad thing.
