As of this day, I’ve been kicking around on this ball of dirt for a very solid forty one trips around the sun. As family lore would have it, the first words I uttered upon first viewing this joint were: I have come to kick ass and chew bubble gum.
I’ve been out of gum ever since.
I imagine my last words will be something embarrassing like: I wonder what happens if I push this button?
Whereupon my tombstone shall bear the epitaph: Here lies Paul: father, husband, storyteller. Not so good with the button pushing.
Here’s hoping I’ve got a few more years before I happen upon that button.
Meanwhile, let me observe that I’ve been very fortunate when it comes to family, friends, my dayjob, my writing career, and (especially) my fans (that’s you). So thanks for your role in that. I’m grateful.
i see your new site is running and it really looks good! and a happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday, Paul. Liking the new digs.
Congratulations on sorting out the issues with WotC. And congratulations on Crosscurrent’s success and securing a sequel. And congratulations on the TOR tie-in.
Viewed in that light, last year was a pretty kick-ass year for you, at least professionally. Here’s hoping for more of the same this year.
Happy Birthday Paul! Love the new website.
Congratulations on surviving so far Paul, and here’s for another 40 years worth of badass fantasy/sci-fi fiction.
Best wishes!
Thanks, all. Much appreciated.
