A couple news items about Star Wars: The Old Republic: Deceived.
First, the contest to win an audiobook version of the novel is ongoing. I’ll draw winners on Monday. Enter if you’re interested and willing to risk the Emperor’s wrath.
Second, Deceived has a book trailer and it’s quite cool. You can view it here. I dig muchly.
Finally, I want to mention one other thing, and that’s this: Deceived is a standalone Star Wars novel that doesn’t require any significant knowledge of Star Wars lore to enjoy. If you know who the Jedi and Sith are, and what the Force is, then you’re all set.
Maybe you’re not an avid reader of Star Wars fiction but have been looking for a gateway novel to get your feet wet in the Galaxy Far, Far Away. If so, I think Deceived will serve you well. The Amazon listing has twenty-four (!) reviews as of today, some quite thorough, so you can read those and get a feel for whether the novel is something you might enjoy. 🙂

I’m not a Star Wars novel reader but I am a fan and reader of Paul’s work so I am eagerly awaiting the release of Deceived.
Thanks for your work Paul!
PS – If only Godborn would get here sooner.
Thanks, Nick. I appreciate your willingness to give it a try.
i have to say i’m not to into starwars but i’ll have to give it a read ever since i read the erevis cale books your my favorite author and waiting for god born is getting long…(sorry for lack of punctuation)
I appreciate that a great deal, a.s.
news on godborn? Can we get a more accurate release date? The last few forgotten realms books i’ve read just arne’t cutting it. Just read “City of the Dead” and blarghhhh it was bad. I need the characters from Paul’s stories sooner rather than later.
2012 is all I know right now. I’ll post a firm date when I have it.
I know that I am a bit of a huge geek about star wars, and that has little to do with if a book is good or not, and it can go ether way. I did read whats been put online. And so far, I think it’s really good. I’m waiting for this book, and I hope it’s as good as I feel like it is, as far as I’ve read.
